Guest Lectures: Regular lectures by the industry professionals, engineers and experts provide the students with valuable insight into the engineering practices followed by reputed business houses.

These exercises enable the students to match the various emerging situations in the practical industrial/corporate world.To generate the leadership qualities, to inculcate the sense of competitiveness as a group and to induce the spirit of participation & winning, group discussions are held regularly on various topics.
Personality Development Program (PDP)
A unique feature of the institute is the incorporation of a module on personality development. A successful engineer is an ambassador of the company he/she represents and therefore ought to have a range of inter personal and communicative skills. The first step is the development of a balanced and mature personality, leading to a person who can communicate eloquently and is highly motivated and can function as a team member as well as a leader. The POP workshops are aimed to develop such traits by utilizing multiple modes like individual & group exercises, presentations, voice culture, behavior code, videotaping, counseling etc.
Industry Orientation
RATE has been in close and continuous touch with the industry. The institute ensures an effective academic-cum-professional interaction with the industry with emphasis on practical orientation. One of the key areas is exposure to the real life problems that is encountered by the companies. The students are encouraged to attempt to solve these problems as an integral part of their development as budding engineers.
Co-curricular Activities
To remove the drudgery of classroom teaching and routine timetable a number of recreational activities make the part of the curriculum. Sports meet and competitions are organized to enhance the competitive and sports spirit of the students. Cultural activities are regularly organized to give the students a chance to show case their talents and remove the stage fear and fear of public speaking. Many indoor and outdoor game facilities are also available for the students.
